I arrived in Des Peres around 4:00pm. I knew McDonald’s had Wifi, so I set-up shop and starting searching for a disc golf course nearby. I found a good one and headed to Creve Coeur Lake Park, but on the way to the park I had to turn around because the road was closed. So I pulled out my iPhone and found another way around. Nothing was going to stop me from playing disc today. I rolled the windows down when I entered the park, I could feel the breeze rolling off the lake. Chain baskets here I come. I found the parking lot to the course, changed into some shorts, put my boots on, and started to disc. I saw a guy walking up the 1st tee pad and thought “As long as I can keep him in my line of sight I’ll be able to figure out the layout of the course,” but I only saw him every other hole and after 9 he was gone. I waited around and noticed some dude, who I’d seen teeing off far behind me, caught up to me. I waited just long enough for him to join me, but he went to his car so I figured I’m not gonna give up today, I’ll be the only one out here and enjoying it. When I say enjoying it, I mean bearing through the chest high weeds and craters that were not only hard to see, but made walking a challenge. I didn’t mind too much. If that’s what its like in Missouri, then so be it. I started to throw 10 and by the time I went looking for my disc, the guy behind had also thrown. So he said, “Once I find my disc I’ll help you find yours.” He was a nice guy who helped me find the holes and gave me a little description of what mess we were about to throw into. He even suggested I play White Birch, which will be the first course I play tomorrow. I got to play a decent course before the sun went down so I’d say today was a success. Until then, fairways and chain-baskets!
The party of my year has to be Halloween 2010.
It started like any Saturday would. I woke up a little drowsy and worn out from the night before, went to work early and made some sales. As soon as I got out we went to get a keg of beer. It took a minute.
Fast Forward to the party!
The food and beer was ready, the red lights on the porch were ready, the killer strobe lights ready. The only thing missing was… everybody. I figured some people were at bars and maybe more met up in bars to avoid large parties. Maybe the of chance they found a cooler party and stayed there. Well, somebody must have told anybody and everybody to be at the Rockwood mansion that night. As soon as Chance walked in I knew the doors were about to swing open and chaos would ensue.
Chance was the tip of the iceberg. I knew that behind him somewhere were – Elliot, Jaye, Zach Joe, Bennit. It wasn’t just them. Stephen, Josh , Fat Baby, Sebastian, Patrick, and a few more folks.
The party didn’t seem that big. Not big unless you actually walked around the house. On average 25 people in the driveway at least 25 in the house and 10 more in the backyard. On average. I think at one point 10 people were in line for the one bathroom. The guess was about 100 people walked through the doors around the back or through the broke down wooden gate.
The ground was a little wet, but we still had a great day of disc.
JR got a oney at fort dumpster.
I threw a gazelle right unto the bushes.
Rob got a hole in one threw the coloums.
The final score for the day:
JR -3
JD 0
RG 3
That night we wento to the Hi-Tone with high spirits and sound mind. It was all new tunes by Unbeheld.
It’s spring cleaning time!
I’m living in a small house of highland and summer. I like it here.
Ground floor. The neighbors are ok. I like the pool, and the place is big. Compared to my apartment. I also found an old Regal 8mm projector. Film the old fashioned way baby!
Thanks to the Live From Memphis crew for hosting such a cool party.
It was saturday night on Main St downtown; I had a blast talking with local artists and commedians: Mo Alexander and Jane Hayes Shout out to Brad Phelan for the invite.
Well another year has passed, and another barrel of presents lie beneath the tree. It’s Christmas time in Memphis and the scenery is just grand. Shelby farms revisited the start nights exhibit and all the decorations are in place.
Now we wait.
Santa will be visiting soon if he hasn’t already, and tomorrow will be a mad rush of ripping and tearing through wrapping paper until all the hidden treasures have been unveiled.
My Xmas video is done and I couldn’t be happier.
Merry Xmas 09!
May this season bring you joy to you and yours. Don’t forget to be merry, if not for your sake, then mine. Seems like joy is a distant thing these days.
Stay warm and enjoy my rendition of jingle bell rock!
The night before last, was so much fun!
I had my 1st, free yoga lesson. The Better Body Yoga 2 had a 50% off deal going on. The deal is over, but the same great folks are there to help any way they can. I reccomend it to anyone, and everyone. I took the intermidiate class with instructor Katie Harris.
I encourage all to check out the website -

See if that’s something your interested in trying. I have never felt more relaxed than after that class. I’ll be revisiting soon, for sure!
I have had an excellent time in Jonesboro
Recently, I opened a new account at the 5 story bank, owned in part by, Regions. It was painless and fast.
Plus, all my money is now visible online through a banking app! You should try “Banking” or “Mobile Banking” the app.
How easy, as opposed to the old bank with old technology. Versus, going to the website clicking on the data entry box, change the keyboard to #, typing in my account #, clicking on the password box, change the keyboard to # again, typing my password. (Just to give you another example, all the ATMs are from the 80′s and they are all yellow, monochrome)
What a great views huh?
